I remember going to my first street food market when I moved to London. It was at the popular Broadway Market and I was blown away at the time - 'Wow! They have scotch eggs that have runny yolks!'
Throughout my 20s they became a weekend ritual after a big night out heading down late morning to refuel with housemates..Probably before doing the same again later on
As I moved into my 30s and had a family they became a different part of our ritual. Heading down to our local farmers market every Sunday rain or shine to buy fresh sourdough from my favourite bakery, The Dusty Knuckle, along with vegetables from Ted's Veg and slow grown organic chickens from Fosse Meadows. What a bougie Sunday!
I loved bumping into all our neighbours there, talking to the stall holders, buying something sweet for my daughter each week as a treat and cooking Sunday lunch only from what they had on their that week - Lots of classic British roasts in autumn!
It has always been a dream of mine to have my own market stall and now I've done it! I'm currently checking out different markets, learning what people like the most and adapting my menu and market schedule
Check out my social media for continuous updates on where I'll be next along with the link below :-D
