Middle Eastern Grill
In London my favourite place to do my shopping was a middle eastern supermarket called the Continential Exchange on Leytonstone High Road. It was a mecca of ingrediants and definitly a big driver for my focus into Middle Eastern cuisine for a few years along with some trips to Turkey, Tel Aviv, Jordan, UAE and Oman. Infact when I was living in my share-house in my twenties and everyone would head to McDonalds after a night out, I would run over the road to the local Turkish grocer and get what my mates called a 'Petey Mezze Mashup' instead!
I love everything from the grilled meats, salads, dips to breads. Nothing better that putting on a huge middle eastern platter!
